How we can help?
At Dalton K9 Academy, based in Nottinghamshire, we’re here to help — whether you’re local or need us to come to you, just let us know how we can assist!
Our goal is to help you build a calm, connected relationship with your dog, one that feels natural and enjoyable. Whether you’re tackling behaviour challenges, improving everyday manners, or just looking to understand each other better, our patient and practical training is designed to help you both work as a team. From barking and leash pulling to mastering new skills, we’re with you every step of the way.
We offer different training options to meet the needs of every dog. Take a look at the services below to find the right fit for you and your dog.
Our Services

1 -1 SESSIONS
We will work in person with you and your dog, one-on-one, with the aim of addressing your specific needs. These sessions can be held both in your home, on a private field, or in a public space, depending on what works best for you and your dog.
Between sessions, you’ll be given homework to keep the progress going, plus three months of email support and video feedback to help you stay on track.
Timeframe: 60 minute
Price: £60

GROUP CLASSES
We offer a range of group classes to suit different skill levels: Puppy, Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced.
All breeds are welcome! Our classes are a great way to train alongside like-minded dog owners while building engagement, teaching and holding positions like sit and down, improving loose lead walking, and developing focus around distractions.
At the end of each course, you’ll receive a certificate and a rosette to celebrate your progress.
Timeframe: 1 hour class per week for 6 weeks.
Price: £150

BOARD AND TRAIN
For busy pet owners, our board and train service offers your dog a home-away-from-home experience while receiving expert training from our team.
Your dog will stay in my home for an agreed period and follow a tailored training plan focused on their individual needs and your specific goals. This service is ideal for addressing challenges such as lead pulling, jumping up, poor recall, reactivity, or simply laying solid foundations for a well-mannered companion.
At the end of the stay, we’ll have a detailed handover session where you’ll learn everything your dog has worked on. We’ll guide you through how to maintain and build on their progress at home, and you’ll receive written notes and ongoing support to help you succeed.
If you’d like continued guidance after the program, we also offer 1-1 session at an extra charge to help reinforce training and support long-term success.
Timeframe: minimum 3 weeks
Price: £450

DOG WALKING
Keep your dog active and happy during the day with our reliable dog walking service. We’ll collect your dog from your requested location, provide a fulfilling walk, and return them safely home, ensuring your property is secure.
For senior or more nervous dogs, we also offer an alternative let-out service. We’ll spend time with your dog at home or in the garden, using gentle play and engagement to meet their needs in a more comfortable setting.
Timeframe: 1 hour walk
Price: £30
50% discount is offer for every additional dog from the same household.

PACK WALKS
Our pack walks are a great way for you to join us with your dog in a semi-controlled, social environment. You’ll be walking alongside other like-minded owners, while receiving real-time guidance and support from our trainer.
During the walk, we’ll help you better understand your dog’s body language, offer behavioural advice, and, where appropriate, work on specific training goals.
To maintain the safety and harmony of the group, we allow one dog per person during pack walks.
Timeframe: 1 hour
